Roger L. Von Amelunxen was a Customs Patrol Officer who was slain in 1980. His family started the Foundation in 1982 in memory of their son. The Foundation is non-profit and incorporated in the State of New York.
The Foundation's purpose is to provide financial assistance to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and U.S. Customs and Border Protection employees and their immediate families nationwide. The Foundation's administrative expenses are less than 3%. Since its inception, the Foundation has disbursed over 4.2 million dollars to what is now ICE and CBP employees and their families.

	To provide financial assistance to the families of ICE and CBP employees killed in the line of duty.
	To provide scholarship grants to the children of ICE and CBP employees.
	To aid victims of natural disasters, i.e., hurricanes, floods, etc.
	To aid in offsetting unreimbursed medical bills. Note: Consideration is based on the need of the employee and on the extent to which we are financially able. With rare exception, we do NOT consider: loss of income, loss of property and/or contents in the absence of insurance (i.e., house fire), or relatives other than spouse and/or minor children.
